Our Therapy for birth trauma, postpartum and anxiety

Individual Counseling

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing)

We offer individual counseling focused on decreasing anxiety and depression, resolving birth trauma, postpartum depression and processing life changes. Using research-backed techniques, we can target the root of the issue(s), which allows us to resolve the anxiety, sadness, fear and loss that can often occur during pregnancy or after birth.

Our Individual Therapy treatment plans are unique and personalized to each client. Treatment is based in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) which are both well studied and proven to be effective for treating depression, trauma and anxiety.

New and Expecting Mother CBT Group

Next group starts this spring! This 6 week group is for women who are currently pregnant and/or up to two years postpartum,  and experiencing symptoms of Anxiety and/or Depression. Research has demonstrated that a proactive treatment approach can significantly decrease rates of Postpartum Depression and other Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders, post birth.   The group curriculum follows the Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Model and helps women build skills to modify their thought patterns which is proven to increase resiliency and decrease symptoms. Topics covered include:

  • Acquiring effective communication strategies to share your needs with your support system
  • Exploring and practicing evidence based relaxation strategies to decrease anxiety
  • Learning intrusive thought stopping techniques
  • Examining the relationship between our thoughts, feelings and behaviors and why they matter
  • Development of a personalized relaxation strategy
  • Recognizing how to identify maladaptive thought patterns and creating an action plan to change those thought patterns

Cost: $60 per week or $300 for all sessions if paid at once. All payments are due the week prior to session.  Therapy Group participation requires an assessment prior to the first group session. This will help us assess the best group for your needs. During this session we'll also develop your personalized treatment plan so that you can know exactly what your care will look like.      Assessments are conducted one on one with a 1 time cost of $150.
